About Me – Louise Morris

For many organisations, raising the funds they need to get closer to their vision, is like climbing a mountain each year. It is a rare occurrence that a charity declares it is raising enough money to do all the work that there is a need for.  I have yet to meet one.  So in late 2016 I decided to set up Summit Fundraising to use my skills and experience to help more charities raise more funds.

I brought my strong commercial background from Unilever to the third sector ten years ago. I’m most proud of increasing income and profit at a number of charities including Tommy’s, Samaritans, RNID (now Action on Hearing Loss),  and as Director of Fundraising leading and implementing a capital appeal for a new Hospice build for patients and their families, raising over £2 million.

I’m skilled at working with the senior leadership and trustees of organisations,  taking them on the journey of major gifts fundraising, capital appeals and instilling a fundraising culture.

Outside of fundraising I enjoy rock climbing (my inspiration for Summit Fundraising), gardening and spending time with my family – my husband, two energetic and gorgeous boys, a cat and two chickens!
