Summit Fundraising Book Club

The Summit Fundraising Book Club is a free, welcoming virtual event hosted by major donor specialist Louise Morris a few times a year.

Each time, we’ll discuss a different book in small groups virtually on Zoom. Nothing is recorded, and you can share as much or as little as you want to.   Everyone is welcome, regardless of background, experience, or job title, and whether you’ve finished the book or not! All books suggested will be available as audio as well.

The image is a promotional banner for the "Summit Fundraising Book Club." The background is primarily purple with a white torn-paper design on the right.
On the left, bold white text reads "Summit Fundraising," followed by "Book Club" in a handwritten-style white font. Below that, the book club details are provided:
"Rapport, The Four Ways to Read People
6th Nov, 1–2pm UK time."
In the center, there is a white sketch of a tall stack of books.
On the right side, within the torn-paper design, there is a large purple circle containing the "SUMMIT FUNDRAISING" logo in bold white letters, with a stylized mountain peak integrated into the word "SUMMIT." Above the circle, in smaller purple text, it says "Brought to you by."
The banner promotes an upcoming book club meeting and visually emphasizes books, fundraising, and event details.

The next Summit Fundraising Book Club meet-up is on Wednesday, 6th November, 1300-1400 GMT.

The image is the cover of the book "Rapport: The Four Ways to Read People" by Emily Alison and Laurence Alison. The background has a gradient from light gray to orange, and features two silhouettes of human faces in profile, one facing left and the other facing right, overlapping slightly. The title "Rapport" is in bold black text, with the subtitle "The Four Ways to Read People" below it in smaller black text. At the top of the cover, the authors' names "Emily Alison & Laurence Alison" are in white, followed by a quote from Malcolm Gladwell: "My academic heroes." The overall design is simple, emphasizing the book's theme of human interaction and understanding.

We’ll be discussing Rapport: The Four Ways to Read People by Emily Alison and Laurence Alison. It’s available in paperback and on Audible and offers fascinating insights and practical tips on how to build better relationships and have more positive interactions, whether with your manager, a supporter, or your partner!
